the muscular system
how the muscular system works:
The Muscular system functions to control movement in our bodies and organs. It works closely with the nervous system and skeletal system. It also works with every other system, because all of our organs are made of muscle, including the heart which is made of a special cardiac muscle.
Types of Muscles:
Smooth Muscle – This is the kind of muscle make up all the organs like the stomach, intestines, and bladder.
Cardiac Muscle – This is the type of muscle that makes up the heart. It is only in the heart.
Skeletal Muscle – This is the muscle that is attached to the bone, it helps us move.

How Muscles
Work:
Muscles work in pairs. For example, the bicep and tricep work together. If you flex your arm, your bicep squishes up and gets bigger, and your tricep stretches out and gets longer.
How You Build Muscle:
When you work out or lift heavy things your muscles actually break down or rip. Then your muscles are sore. When they heal they rebuild and they come back bigger and stronger.
